Got in yesterday morning. I just slept for 15 hours. From 7 PM last night until 10 this morning. Man do I feel better.
I went all over Frankfurt yesterday. The downtown seems kind of . . . small? Still haven't checked out up by the university yet though.
The cathedral was definitely the highlight. That is one impressive cathedral. It was mostly built around 1240 AD I think. There is one particularly amusing painting with some tonsured monk groveling before a German prince in about 1150, then in the next panel it is about 1250 and the prince and a throng of other secular fellows are carrying another monk (with halo) on his shoulders, exactly as one would do to a quarterback after a football game. Christus Victor.
Yesterday, it wasn't until after I'd eaten that I found a nice Dönerkebab shop and the cheap indian food. I'll try those out today.
I tried a German cafe for the first and perhaps the last time. Tiny cups of bad coffee. Starbucks is everywhere though, with large paper cups of good coffee. In fact, I think I'll head there now.
Communication is occasionally a little bit tedious but not bad. Between their usually good english, my bad german, and hand gestures, we all have managed to make ourselves understood.

Travel Blog
If this is anything like all my friend's travel blogs who went to Europe, then I'll write a few long posts in the first few weeks. Then one more awhile after that. And then nothing more.
